Blech

I’m in a rut.  Don’t feel like writing, drawing, coding..bleh.  My scanner is currently sitting with its cords piled on top of it, desktop in pieces…I might try to rig something up to try getting some initial outlines for the templates started sometime in the next week or so, if nothing else.

Just a short update - even though it is a little overdue because of issues that came up, here are the three rough drafts of the templates I am hoping to continue work on:

Template 1 - ADCT

Template 2 - ADCT

Template 3 - CWU

All link to the deviation created for the three, which also explains what I am thinking of doing with each.

I have just drawn up some very basic, very rough sketches of the ideas I have for template ideas, two for ADCT and one for Orrey/CWU - creation of them  on the computer is yet to be underway, as I would like to refine them some more before attempting to do so.  I will have links to the three sketches within the next few hours hopefully.

Two possible template designs

Even though a better part of today was spent packing, much to my disappointment, not all was loss- I have two possible template ideas bouncing around my head.  One is for ADCT, while the other is for Orrey.  I hope to sketch out the basic ideas, and start building on them at the least while I do the packing.

Some serious time was loss today due to health issues, so everything that could have been done is being pushed to tomorrow.  I am hoping to start working on a CSS-driven layout for ADCT to get a feel for how to create templates and layouts out of it along with HTML.  Besides giving it a new layout, it’ll give me the chance to test the waters before starting work on a template for CWU.  I am estimating that working through all the problems of working with a coding type I am unfamilar with, along with dealing with life issues, will stretch this particular endeavor from anywhere from two weeks to a month, though that is a tentative estimate at best.

I also will be working on Smile’s line art again hopefully, as both attempts failed due to computer complications.  I hope that I will be able to get a mouse for the laptop, to be able to use the programs on it.  It will be able to better handle the larger image programs, and there would be little to no worry that any work done on Smile - or any other projects - would be loss.  As it is, once the equipment is bought, I will be able to test the programs to see if I need any new ones to create the templates and images for CWU.

I just felt it necessary to update to inform everyone that I am working steadily on the line art for Smile, along with mentally planning the new layout for ADCT, and doing some basic looking into CSS - which, unfortunately, is going slowly.  I have a feeling it will take a while for me to get a hang of the use of it.  :<  So no layoutness for me until I can figure out that mess.

Also, I will be mostly absent mentally today, the 16th - as I will have pulled an all-nighter for test that demands sleep deprevation to do, I will either be dazing out or sleeping.  Starting at roughly 6, 6:30 or so, expect me to be missing for the day.  :[

Anniversary drawing

Due to both my upcoming anniversary on dA, July 27th, and to approaching my 10,000 pageview, I have decided to review the stages that my art tends to go through as I work on it.

The drawing in question that I am doing this for is not only a contest entry, but an entry for the 100 Picture Challenge.  For anyone interested in following the progression, please follow the link here: OC - Smile (Note: This is a base drawing, so it portrays very simple, barbie-esque nudity.  Avoid if you believe this will offend you)

Once the deviation has been finished, all the progressive stages will be made into one deviation for easier access.

Created the tumblr, along with trying to organize all the papers and files that have piled up on the desk.
